Physics Wireless Network (WLAN)

PCS has implemented a secure wireless network based on the limitations of the faculty decision to limit wireless inthe main part of Broida Hall to the 5th and 6th floors. We have utilized wireless access points in the following areas:

• Broida 5223 (PCS offices)
• Broida 5340 (Graduate Lounge)

• Broida 6218
• Broida 6238
• Broida 6306
• Broida 6119
• Broida 6204

• Broida 1630 (Lecture Hall)
• Building 407, room 206
• Building 407, room 110d
• Building 407, room 102
• *(temporarily offline) Building 328 (Grad trailer)

The wireless network features security through industry-standard WPA and WPA2, which involves 802.1x username/password authentication via a back-end RADIUS server, and dynamic TKIP or AES encryption keys. A WPA or WPA2 compliant wireless card and client software is required for use of this network.
