Physics in Industry: Commercialization of Atomic Force Microscopy
Craig Prater Digital Instruments Inc. |
| The atomic force microscope (AFM) is a key enabling tool for nanotechnology in science and industry. I'll talk about the technology and widespread impact of AFM and the role of physicists like myself in this field. We'll also do a brainstorming exercise to illustrate one of the key innovations techniques employed in industrial research. I will also be pleased to answer your questions on any topic I can. About the presenter: Craig Prater (Ph.D. UCSB, 1992) is a Veeco Fellow at Veeco Instruments, the world's leading manufacturer of atomic force microscopes. |
