Abstract
In
the last 20 years, light scattering has moved from an academic research tool,
to a standard industrial method of macromolecular characterization. It
can be used to measure a host of fundamental properties including molecular
weight, size, aggregation, conformation, diffusion, and virial coefficients.
The talk will cover the basic concepts behind light scattering
instrumentation and will cover several case studies of how it has been used to
solve real world problems.
