Quantum device named 2010 Breakthrough of the Year by Science Magazine

Science Magazine named the quantum device designed by Andrew Cleland and John Martinis as the 2010 Breakthrough of the Year. Their research earned the top spot due to its groundbreaking ingenuity and the possibilities it presents on both the conceptual and practical levels. Graduate student Aaron O'Connell was part of the team involved in the research.
