General Safety Training Instructions

Why do UCSB workers need to take Safety Right, Responsitilities and Resources training session?

As a UCSB worker you have a number of safety-related rights, responsibilities and resources that, by law, you need to be informed about.  The online training module (~15 minutes) provides this information.  It is based on worker safety regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (Cal-OSHA) Injury & Illness Prevention Program.

Which training course should I take?

The training modules below are offered on campus through the UC Learning Center.  Instructions for obtaining a UC Learning Center login can be found on the UC Learning Center Access Instructions Page.

To enroll in the course within the Learning Center's sytem, enter the course number in the "Search" function.  The course number is located in the parenthesis next to the course name.

1. Non-Supervisors: Safety Rights, Respnsibilities and Resources (TR-29)
    
I work in an office and I DO NOT supervise employee(s).  Enroll via the UC Learning Center.

2. Office Supervisor: Safety Rights, Responsibilities and Resources (TR-25)
    
I am a SUPERVISOR primarily supervising office staff.  Enroll via the UC Learning Center.

3. Physical Laborer Supervisor: Safety Rights, Responsibilities and Resources (TR-27)
   
I am a SUPERVISOR working with skilled trade employee(s), (i.e. maintenance, kitchen, shops, physical labor, etc.).  Enroll via the UC Learning Center.
