The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN has recently turned off for upgrades after collecting several years of data. A primary goal of the LHC program is searching for new high energy phenomena that could elucidate the nature of dark matter and reveal extensions to the standard model of particle physics. I will survey the status of such searches, describe the methods used, present results from recently collected data, and discuss the prospects for the next phase of higher energy data collection.
