The fun step is to put up all of these lights. Our lights need extra large clamps for the most part, because most of our bars are too large for the standard size of clamps. We have a mixture of lights with big clamps and regular clamps so you will need to use up the ones with regular clamps when you are working to put up lights on the skinnier of the bars, or just switch the clamps around. Putting up the lights is relatively easy. Don't bother doing any aiming nor putting up of the extension cords to connect to the mini-coffins. It is much easier to to the cords up once you have all the lights first. Although it has been done both ways and if you feel like running the cords at the same time you are more than welcome to. Just be sure to run all of the cords looped around the bar with the same sense of orientation it will make your life slightly easier now, and much easier when it comes to set strike.
Last but not least, safety is always a good thing. After all it would be rather bad for business if our lighting system fell on someone's head during the middle of a performance. There are a bunch of metal cables with a loop at one end and a carabiner at the other. Their sole purpose is to loop through the harp on the light and over the bar, so that if the clamp fails, the light will not fall very far.
