Department of Physics
Areas of specialization: General Physics, Astronomy or Astrophysics, Classical Mechanics and E&M, Condensed Matter Physics, Elementary Particle Physics, Optics. Position is open until filled.
Applications are invited to apply for possible temporary lecturer positions. The main duties will be teaching first courses in general physics and astronomy, with the possibility of occasional upper-division teaching opportunities. Applicants should have at least an MA in Physics or Astronomy and teaching experience at the college level.
Applications will be kept active for consideration for all appropriate vacancies within the department for one year (December 1, 2003 – November 30, 2004). Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining unit.
