12 june 2005... "finally fading" is up. more on the way soon.
24 april 2005... "cleareyed" is up. thanks to all the folks on the message
board who contributed to this...
19 april 2005... hi all... it's been a while. a year and a half since i
last posted here. first things first: i've added a section for "winter
pays for summer" tabs. so far, i've added "true" and "released" and linked
older versions for a couple of songs until i have album versions
available. thanks go out to steven wiercinski for contributing to
"true."
and more songs soon... i've got "falling" and "finally fading" in my
pipeline. i also have submissions for "half life" and "brain trust kid"
that have been sitting in my inbox for too long. there's a version of
"cleareyed" floating around out there. all coming soon... plus, i keep
getting requests for songs on the MAS album, so it's an exciting time.
so what's the deal, michael, where've you been for so long? good
question... i've spent the last year finishing up my PhD research. the
closer i get to done, the more panicked i get and the less time i have to
live the non-PhD parts of my life and the more this site gets neglected.
i'm almost out of the woods, and i have a job starting soon at the
university of pisa, but this means that on top of the usual finish-line
workload of a PhD student, i'm planning a big move and trying to learn a
new language and all that fun stuff. good for you, michael, but what's
all this got to do with me? well, for one thing, this site will have
to move servers sometime soon. also, after the immediate flood of
post-wpfs enthusiasm, i don't know how available i'll be to keep the site
up and running. i don't want to shut it down, so i'm putting out a call to
my loyal readers: if anyone is interested in taking over hosting the
archive, or in co-hosting the archive with me, let me know. it's a pretty
sweet gig, really, and there are plenty of worse things you could do with
your time.
