Gravity paper
When you read this paper, it may at first appear to you that geophysicists measure acceleration in gallons. Actually, they give the name "Gal" (for Galileo) to 1 cm/s2. So 1 mGal = 10-5 m/s2.

Ganley 1985
Cadwell & Boyko 1991
