Our group is pursuing a wide range of physics goals using diatomic molecules.  This talk will highlight two ongoing projects: first, the search for the electric dipole moment of the electron, a CP-violating effect predicted in many extensions to the Standard Model of particle physics; and second, the development of methods for direct laser cooling of molecules.
