LCO Seminars
The Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network hosts montly seminar inviting outstanding young researchers to Santa Barbara to spend one or a few days at LCOGT and give a seminar. Speakers are chosen for their research interests with a bias toward observational time domain astronomy, to appeal to the LCOGT science community. Talks are held at LCOGT, generally at 4pm on the third Thursday of the month, and a shuttle service between campus and LCOGT is provided to facilitate attendance. The shuttle service pick up point is behind Broida, 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the talk, and guests are driven back to Broida at the end of the seminar. The speaker is available to meet with scientists all day, both at LCOGT and on campus.
