Have you ever wondered how quantum mechanics deals with systems of many interacting particles? Such systems are difficult to solve equations of motions for exactly but lots of insight can be garnered from approximations. Professor Cenke Xu researches quantum many body physics, the general study of such systems and their ensemble properties. In particular, his research focuses on quantum phase transitions, quantum criticality, quantum spin liquids, and more!
