Title: Thermal two-point functions and the black hole (not) interior
Abstract:
In AdS/CFT, fluctuations in some strongly coupled finite-temperature systems are related to Hawking radiation from a dual black hole.  The existence of geodesics that approach and `bounce off' the interior singularity implies specific correlations between rare, high-frequency Hawking quanta.  I will discuss the main signatures in two-point functions of light bulk fields and show how they can be calculated using bulk WKB geodesics and a novel reflection coefficient.  The relevant geodesics travel in a "copy" of the interior that is generated by analytic continuation of the exterior and is distinct from what an infalling observer might experience.  Based on 2510.21673.
